Computer-aided manufacturing

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) describes all procedures and tools in an organisation, where computers control the tools and other machines to manufacture the products.

It can also include the control of related activities like transport, storage and overall management.

The purpose is a faster, more precise and more reliable production process.
